Why a site on helping others?

I started this page to see if I could help people (which we don't do enough of these days). So I thought that giving advice would be the way to go. I have always liked the adage "pay it forward". I try to live in the moment, and on purpose, "because there are no ordinary moments". Please make use of my links page as they can offer an array of help themselves.  I would like to offer advice on any topic you wish. Even general questions, so please go to my "leave questions page" to do so. I will reply as soon as possible. If you use the email section I will reply directly to you. Please "Digg" my site also if you like it. I feel I can help others because I have been through alot in a half century. (Please read the next column) But I in no way believe that I have all the answers. I am not a professional. If I feel I can't help, I will try to send you in a direction or to a site that can. We can all use a helping hand once in a while. I have added some statistics clocks also. They are a little morbid but necessary to show that life is still very precious and living in the moment is so important. I now have email available from this site, so if you would like an email address, send a message to me at stanleyhearn@stansadvice.com and I will set one up for you.

  A little about myself.

I am a young 50 year old. I had an average childhood. I was in the millatry during the Cold War. I am in recovery from addiction  and have been for some time. I have been homeless. I have rheumatoid and osteo arthritis. I have also been through therapy for hepatitis C (interferon and ribavirin) which was a 1-year therapy. I am now free of the disease, it has been non-detectable in my system for over 3 years. It was a long year with many adverse side effects.  I am also severaly bipolar and take an array of medications for my condition. I also suffer from essensital tremors which means I shake uncontrollably and it is very annoying, so I take medication for this also. I have also suffered a stroke. I even have to take medications to control some of the side effects of other medications, go figure. Other wise I have been happily married for 10 years now. My wife is also my best friend (which is as it should be from my perspective). We also have one beautiful daughter. I live a fairly peaceful life and have no regrets. I view everything that I have been thru as a learning experience. I've had a tremendous amount of help over the years. Now I feel it's time to give some back. Please make use of my links page as they can offer an array of help themselves. I have read I lot of the books that these authors have written, and they are worth checking out. LOL
